We all know how a Product Specials section can be popular with your clients and how it can make your website more effective
. But the current process of maintaining online a product section is very tedious and can be time consuming.
Effectively, a company must have a dedicated person to make sure that the information is constantly up to date and also that every of your potential are continuously updated on a at least a monthly basis.
At ECAT, we have decided to automate this entire process for you and to make your life easier and your website more successful.
Step by Step:
We now offer 2 ways of maintaining your product specials.
- Access our Client Zone and the section "Items Specials/Auction".
There you will be able to insert, update or remove any product that you wish to advertised in your product specials section. Update your product name, code, description, quantities, prices, unit
All actions are performed online and can be done remotely from any locations. All information will be made live as soon as you save and approve your changes.
In this section you can also priotize your product specials and we will then make sure that these products will be showcase more predominantly.
- Ths option allow you to Export from your accounting system your product specials and to Import them into the ECAT Product Specials Module.
The export/import can be done on a daily basis and therefore ensuring that your prices and quantities are a good reflection of the current situation.
- To make your life easier, we also allow you to extract from our Industry Database any product information equivalent to yours. To automate htis process simply make sure that your product stock code correspond to your supplier/manufacturer stockcode. We will then match your product with the relevant product in our database.
This the process where the internet user interact with your website and give us all the details necessary which will maximize your product specials exposure.
There are 2 ways to obtain the user details
- Website & Product Enquiry
This is the easiest and simple way to capture the user information. In this instance only the name, email address will be effectively harvested for the purpose of the Product Specials system
- User Registration & Product Request
This is a more indeep process whereby we will ask more information to profile and categorize every user. eg.: fax, tel, region, physical address, type of work, etc...
As a complementary feature, the "Product Request" will allow the user to tell us specifically what type of product he is interested in at this point of time.
Subscribe to our Newsletter
In both case described above, this checkbox must be included. It is illegal in most part of the world to send unsollicited email.
This checkbox will ensure that you are legally compliant to the rules and regulations concerning the sending of newsletter.
Remember that if a user does not check the "
Subscribe to our Newsletter" during the recording process, we are not allowed to send him any newsletter at anytime. But according to our experience, about 50% of the users would like to receive your newsletters and/or monthly product specials.
Other Newsletters Systems
If you wish to use another system to send your newsletter, you can use the ECAT Online Management Module to export automaticcaly and on a monthly basis all user details in an excell format. You then simply need to import this excel sheet in your internal CRM system or into any other emailing system offering an import facility.
